This Yunomi has been made using a combination of wheel throwing and hand making techniques. The Yunomi has been made from a blend of back clay and a coarse grog. The grog give the form texture when I cut the surface with wire and Bamboo tools. The form is decorated with a white clay slip and then glazed with a semi -transparent  glaze recipe which i often manipulate by wiping and sanding to develop breaks and imperfections in surface the finish, this particular Yunomi has developed a rather pleasing 'orange peel' effect on the surface of the glaze and is very much a 'one of a kind'.
